Church Planting

Please schedule an appointment with the Network Superintendent and the Church Planting Advisor to discuss your desire to plant a new church. The Superintendent’s Administrative Assistant will work with you in scheduling this appointment. Please contact the office at 208-466-8101 to schedule the appointment.

During the interview with the Superintendent and Church Planting Advisor, an application to plant a new church will be given to you. This should be completed and mailed to the attention of the Superintendent as soon as possible.

We want to help you understand your giftedness in the ministry God has called you to. We will help arrange a church planting assessment that will identify areas of established strength and other areas needing development as you prepare to plant a church.

It is required that you and your spouse, if applicable, attend a CMN Launch. Click here for Launch Locations, training, funding and other resources available from the Church Multiplication Network.

Develop a strategy for planting the church and be prepared to share this strategy during all interviews.

Your ministry plan should include your financial structure, Church name, ministry location or site, and vision for accomplishing your projected goal.

It is recommended that each new church plant has a sponsoring church.

Reasons for a Sponsoring Church:

• Planters are more successful with the support of a Sponsoring Church.

• It is a secure place to hold your funds until you become your own entity.

It is required that all new church applicants are credentialed ministers in good standing with the Southern Idaho Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God. Contact our Network office to get started at deason@simnag.org or 208-466-8101.

It is required that you schedule an appointment and meet with the Southern Idaho Ministry Network presbytery. Contact the Superintendent’s office to schedule this appointment. It is required that your spouse, if applicable, accompany you for this interview when possible.
