Thrive Ministries
The Southern Idaho Women's Ministry (a.k.a Thrive Ministries) provides opportunities for women to connect with one another, grow in their relationship with God, and discover their God-given purpose! We are building an environment for women to encourage and support one another, learn and express practical biblical love, and feel God's love in a very real way.
Meet the Director & Team Thrive
LeAnn Sullivan has been the Thrive Ministries Director for the past 10 years. LeAnn has been married to her husband Kent for 42 years and they have been in ministry for over 39 years. Kent served as the Southern Idaho District Youth Director and Ministries Director from 2004 - 2023.
They have two grown children, BreAnna and Josiah. LeAnn and Kent have 5 grandchildren who they adore!
On Team Thrive, we have (from left to right in the picture): Naomi Vines, Ruthie Carlson, LeAnn Sullivan, Karen Reeder, Megan Wright, Starlene Clig, and Kris Johnson (Rebekah Metteer in the center was our Connect Speaker). Each of these ladies have a heart for souls and a desire to serve each of you! I am so grateful to have a group of women who are Armor-Bearers, genuine friends, and who live life to the fullest!
Thrive Ministries 2024 Theme:
Ecclesiastes 3:1
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
Solomon, the author of Ecclesiastes, goes to great lengths to preach that we must put our trust in God’s sovereignty which means he is in control of all things. God is with us in the hardest battles. He guides our steps from one season to the next. He sees what is coming ahead for us and will provide what we need to get through. No matter what seasons lay behind us or ahead of us, God is always present and always leading us through each - for the purpose of His glory.
When Scripture declares that for everything there is a season, this means that the various circumstances we go through in life are not by incident but orchestrated or allowed by God with great purpose and intentionality.
Thrive Connect
Thrive Connect is our annual retreat for the women in our Southern Idaho Ministry Network. Women come together to connect with God, each other, and meet new girlfriends!
Our next Thrive Connect is scheduled for Oct. 11 - 13, 2024 at Trinity Pines in Cascade, ID.
Thrive Missions
Thrive missions is the annual fund raising project of the Southern Idaho Women's Ministry. We have just one mission, and that is to partner with organizations, ministries, and missionaries both locally and globally, so that together we can reach more people for Jesus. There are many ways you can help. You can join us in prayer, give to the project, or serve!
2024 Projects
.
I am so excited to announce your Thrive Mission’s Project for 2024!! This year we will continue to raise support for the This Girl Project and COMPACT Family Services !!
COMPACT Family Services runs Hillcrest Children's Home. It rest on 52-aces campus with 8 cottages and a 24- apartment center for foster youth preparing for adult living.
Hillcrest programs include:
Developmental Disabilities Services, qualified residential treatment, and transitional Living.
Please be in prayer for COMPACT and for the AG Foster Care Network.
We have stepped out in faith and pledged 20,000.00 for COMPACT Family Services and for WorldService International’s This Girl Project!
After praying we felt led to replace the dishwasher, fryer, mixer, and convection oven for the dining hall. The dining hall provides meals for staff and children to produce a family style environment. They serve over 100 individual meals daily. Being able to replace these commercial appliances will save their staff countless hours of clean up time to better prepare for meals made and served. The space is not just about feeding bodies; it's also about nourishing souls. Offering a communal space where children and staff can come together in fellowship.
And we have the awesome privilege to be part of this ministry!!
We also felt led to support the WorldServe’s This Girl Project once again. Around the world, girls lack the ability and support to manage their menstrual cycles with dignity. WorldServe International is working to change this for women and girls in three ways:
1. Equipping girls with a year’s supply of biodegradable sanitary pads and quality undergarments
2. Educating girls about their bodies through health curriculum presented with compassion and grace.
3. Employing women to earn a fair wage by working to sustainably produce sanitary pads for their local communities.
I know we can do it!! We can reach this goal TOGETHER!!
If you have any questions or want more information, please reach out to Starlene or LeAnn.
